I WORKED FOR 33 YEARS AND BECAUSE OF ONE INDIVIDUAL I WAS LAID OFF AND HE DID NOT EVEN KNOW ME. WHEN VERIZON LAIDS OFF PEOPLE THEY WENT ACCORDING TO IF THEY LIKE YOU OR NOT, NEVER GIVING YOU A PLAUSABLE REASON FOR LAYING YOU OFF. I THINK ITS SAD THAT ONE INDIVIDUAL AND HAVE AN IMPACT ON A EMPLOYEES STATUS BECAUSE THAT PERSON DOES NOT LIKE YOU. VERIZON IS GOING TO THE DOGS BECAUSE MANAGEMENT MEANING THE HIRE-UPS DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING. THEY LET THE GOOD PEOPLE GO. THEY TALKE ABOUT CUSTOMERS SATISFICATION THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT IS.THEY HAVE NO STANDARD FOR DOING THE JOB.EVERYONE IN THE HIGHER POSITIONS ARE FRIENDS. IF YOU ARE NOT A FIREND OF THE HIRE-UPS THEN YOU ARE LET GO. I USED TO THINK THAT VERIZON WAS A FAMILY COMPANY, BUT NOT ANY MORE. I WAS LAID OFF AND THERE WERE PEOPLE THERE WHO DID NOT DO HALF THE WORK I DID.
