I worked for this company for 4 years without incident. In fact, I did quite well, advancing from an entry level security Officer to Captain and Area Supervisor within 3 years. Then the Gm and Operations Manager both retired in '08 and were replaced by Larry P____ and Paul N____.
The incompetence was almost comical. One minor incident that should have never been an incident in the first place was blown completely out of proportion by Paul N____, who then threatened me with termination because of HIS incompetence in the matter. I wrote a report to what I believed was an objective unbiased agency, and in short, the report was sent right back to the Phoenix office to be "investigated."
The upshot of the investigation was that I was removed from my assignment and not given another post.
I filed unemployment, but GM Larry P____ appealed with a bucket full of lies and falsehoods. After a year and a half of appeals, the Arizona Division One court of Appeals finally issued a ruling acknowledging that the liar GM Larry P_____ had made false statements regarding the case, and Wackenhut was ordered to pay me a ridiculous $250. By now it was 2010 so my 2009 claim with AZ DES was no longer relevent.
It's sad and disgusting that this is what business has come to in this day. Wackenhut is a security agency, supposedly in the business of protecting and securing persons and property. What qualifies unethical dishonest scumbags like Larry P____ and Paul N_____ to "protect" anything, for anyone?
