They rank your performance based on how quickly you can service the customer, you are suppose to get so many claims a day, they are understaffed and seem to want the employees who are not relocatable leave and hire in new blood for 1/2 the pay as they dont hire in the hire grades of pay any longer. In the field you are suppose to get so many a day and be able to meet inspection times and make contacts within 4 hours. You get back from doing 200+ miles and come back to 11-20 new claims. The management is incompetent, they promote on eagerness to move not abiities. I have seen this company tank in morale over the past 5 years, the file reviews are subjective to the reviewer and do not take into consideration the work volume and hours in the day. If you bring it up to your supervisor they tell you to manage, if you complain that they are not helping you to manage and request to go above that supervisors head, they say you are being insubordinate. The day of taking care of the employee is gone and they are in the process of tryng to increase corporate profits and push out the worker bees. They strive to take care of their customers but fail to take care of the employees, when you vent they inform you it is coming from corporate Farmers. Management has lost their backbone and they are all yes man that cant do their jobs and dont know how to work in the field or as a worker bee, they are all too busy acting busy to learn how to do the job. I hope I find something soon, I cant take it anymore. My direct superviser is a complete moron and asshole and for the past 3 years he has been my boss he has driven everyone away, I am the last of the old timers and he has lost 2 new hires who only lasted a couple of months and he only has 5 employees but somehow he is ranked pretty good because of the production numbers but our quality sucks because we are all working our asses off and he refuses to authorize overtime, you need to manage, give me a break....
