I don't know how it is at the nursing home building. But at the retirement community. It sucks. The nursing staff hate the food service staff. The nursing staff are lazy. They don't give proper care to the residents. You find the CNA's lounging around all day doing nothing. Yeah these are residents in assisted living units. But they still need their daily cares met. I've heard residents in assisted living wearing the same clothes for like 3 days in a row. The current executive chef is a boob. He tells his staff one thing. Then if there are complaints. He tries to cover his butt. Says he never told his food service staff to do things the way he initially told them to. The housing manager she is friendly to your face. But is no one you should trust. Well someone you couldn't trust as far as you can stretch your arms. The work itself is not to bad. It's the people you work with that make things difficult. Pay is only so so. It's not horrible but it's not good either. Insurance bennies are so so also.
