- Tips On Unemployment

It’s an upside down world; especially in the workplace. Those that make the least amount of money and need the job the most have little or no rights and no job security. On the other hand, those that make the most money, and need the jobs the least have all the rights and job security. These executives have contracts to protect them, which provide them with a legal remedy if they feel they have been wrongly let go.

So if you think you were wrongfully terminated, forget it! There’s no such thing; unless you have a contract or are in a union, your employer can fire you for any reason they like (better known as the “at will employee”). If they don’t like your smile that day, adios, you’re gone, and there is nothing you can do about it.

Best advice, pray you have a decent and fair-minded boss.

HERE ARE SOME TIPS TO HELP YOU WIN YOUR CLAIM:

· Make sure you show up to the hearing. Don’t just send in a written statement, you may lose.

· Don’t feel intimidated - this is your chance to stand up to your company. After all, they already fired you, so speak up now!

· Don’t think you have friends at this company that will defend you. You may find that the company has solicited people to discredit you at this hearing. Be calm and composed.
